Old Bike Recycling Scheme
Give your old bike a new life – help transform lives!
Central Bedfordshire CC are proud to share the success of our bike recycling scheme, which is helping residents across Central Bedfordshire access employment, improve wellbeing, and learn essential life skills – all while promoting sustainability.
Since July 2025, they have donated 35 refurbished bikes to individuals and schools, including Esland Bedford School, Pix Brook Academy, and Toddington St George Lower School. More bikes are currently being refurbished and prepared for donation.
Why donate?
Your unwanted bike could help someone:
✔ Get to work or school
✔ Stay active and healthy
✔ Learn to ride for the first time
The nearest drop of point to Leighton Buzzard is 1:00-14:00 Saturday 3rd January at The Cycling Hub, The Farmstead, Linmere, LU5 5GX and Saturday 31st January at Biggleswade Saxon Leisure Centre.
