From Saturday 25th October to 2nd November – Skeleton Trail at Waddesdon Manor

During the October Half Term, families are invited to take part in Waddesdon’s Skeleton Trail, an outdoor adventure where little and big explorers alike can solve word puzzles hidden across the historic grounds. Once you’ve completed the trail and solved the puzzles, don’t forget to collect a prize at the end!
For younger visitors, the Woodland Playground will also be offering plenty of space for children to run around, while the popular Skull Shack (also known as the Conservation Hub) makes its return for Halloween. Expect to find skeletons hard at work, live spiders and mysterious boxes just waiting to be uncovered . . . if you dare to guess what’s inside? Visitors will also have the chance to learn about the different species that live in and around Waddesdon, as well as using a microscope to see the beauty of nature.
The seasonal fun continues inside the Manor with visitors able to explore the exceptional art collection within, and, over the October half-term, there will also be ghostly figures and spooky surprises hidden inside the rooms for younger guests to spot. This is also the final week to enjoy the beautiful interiors and exhibitions before the house closes for preparations ahead of Christmas.
The Halloween celebrations would not be complete without a Spooky Afternoon Tea served in the historic setting of the Manor Restaurant. Younger guests can enjoy ghost meringues, mummified gingerbread men, spooky jelly worms, eyeballs and even brains. There’s also an eerie twist to the regular afternoon tea for adults, too.

When a meteor crashes into Colepepper Zoo, it unleashes a virus that transforms the zoo animals into zombies. Kid-friendly, horror film that combines frightening moments with humor and suspense. It is designed as an introductory horror movie for younger audiences, but some children might find the zombie-like creatures, chase scenes, and body horror intense. It’s often described as “fun scary” for kids who enjoy the genre, though the level of scariness can vary depending on the child.
