Totally Stunning Course
The race starts in the historic market town of Leighton Buzzard and completes an anti-clockwise lap of Tiddenfoot Waterside Park before following the picturesque autumnal Grand Union Canal towpath north to Stoke Hammond with stunning views, climbing through beautiful countryside to Great Brickhill. The route then passes through the scenic Rushmere Country Park woodland before following the Greensand Ridge back to the start via the canal towpath and finishing with a clockwise lap of Tiddenfoot Waterside Park.

Carl started performing stand-up in 2005 and quickly established himself as one of the UK’s most exciting comedians. His conversational, silly sense of humour saw him win a host of awards (Chortle Best Newcomer 2007, Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2007 among others) and become a regular at all of the finest comedy clubs in the UK and Ireland.In 2009, Carl performed his debut solo show Relax Everyone, it’s Carl Donnelly! at the Edinburgh Fringe for which he was nominated for the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Newcomer. Since then, Carl has returned to Edinburgh with further solo shows and received a nomination in 2013 for the Fosters Comedy Award.Carl has also appeared on various TV shows, including Mock The Week, Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central, Dave’s One Night Stand, Stand Up for the Week, and Russell Howard’s Good News.

Christmas Fayre

We’ve been doing Christmas here for over a thousand years, and would love for you to join us! Our first 2025 event is the Christmas Fayre. It’s an annual favourite with all the volunteer-run stalls you would expect, plus the opportunity to purchase unique gifts from local small businesses. There will be an arts and crafts area to entertain children and the young-at-heart. Take your time to enjoy some mulled wine and visit our café while soaking in the festive atmosphere: cakes and warm drinks from 1030, soup served from noon. Even better, why not do that while the wonderful Wing Singers are performing between 11.30am and noon? Intrepid visitors can tour the bell tower too (timings TBC). Do pop in: the fayre runs from 10.30am to 2pm.

Leighton Buzzard Christmas Festival Weekend

Live entertainment for all ages. Razzamataz and Infinite AllStars Cheerleading will perform alongside the Leighton Buzzard Children’s Theatre. Headline act, Big in Brazil, will bring a lively party atmosphere, followed by the Christmas lights switch on and spectacular fireworks display at 7pm.

Saturday is packed with music:-Somewhere 2 Sing Choir will fill the High Street with Christmas favourites and popular songs while The Rock Project MK showcases rock and pop performances by young musicians. A live brass band will add a traditional festive touch. The Santa Dash Fun Run also takes place on Saturday, bringing a colourful and fun spectacle for participants and spectators alike.

Sunday features entertainment for all ages. The Leighton Buzzard Drama Group will perform seasonal pieces while Fiona Harrison and a Jazz Quartet provide a festive soundtrack. Walkabout acts include the dazzling Christmas Belles, the quirky Granny Turismo and Santa’s Sleigh, adding a magical touch to the High Street.
