Buzzing Mob, the new group in town!
With an array of fitness, well-being and performing arts groups in our town, there was something missing, but now here it is: the Buzzing Mob is a community group of adults aged 30+ who specialise in devising, learning, and performing routines in a flash-mob fashion during the year.
The aims are simple: having fun, making new in-person connections, staying fit and creating something together that AI cannot match! Previous experience is not required to join the group: routines are based on easy-to-learn movement, with a variety of alternative moves to fit all abilities, and be as inclusive as possible. Whether you’re moving only your legs or arms, or the whole body, everyone is welcome to join.
Each performance will involve opening a space for passers-by and members of the community to show off their dancing and moving skills. The group performed on March 21st of this year, and they are now preparing their second choreography.
Take a look at the snippet of the first performance from the organiser’s YouTube channel, SoulCreations: https://youtube.com/shorts/8hNwGF8l4F0, you might see them performing live on a market day!
If you love dancing and are willing to perform in public spaces as opposed to theatres, inspired by Shakespeare’s saying: “The world’s a stage”, then the Buzzing Mob is for you. More information can be found here: https://canva.link/tyuf6krtwpft9n3
