An evening with legendary Status Quo drummer John Coghlan
An Evening With John Coghlan hosted by Dave Sweetmore, with special guest John’s wife and manager Gillie Coghlan. An intimate evening with legendary Status Quo drummer John Coghlan, who was a founding member of Quo and played in the band between 1962 and 1981 during the bands most successful and respected years, becoming one of the biggest bands of all time.

Bug Lab

Enter the wonderful world of minibeasts, take a closer look to discover tiny creatures on our sites and be inspired to look at home on your doorstep.  Aimed at families (no previous experience or knowledge is required) or those wishing to improve their id skills. The Greensand Trust staff will be joined by members of the Natural History society who will share knowledge of wildlife. There will be equipment and guides you can borrow, microscopes to look more closely and lots of tips.

Location: access from the Knaves Hill, Linslade LU7 2SD entrance, up to the path crossroads at the top of the hill. Please walk if possible but if you need to drive to site, there is limited roadside parking in Knaves Hill, please do park courteously and respect residents. Pirate Attack! at Buzz Rail

Interactive outdoor train event at Pages Park Station where riders can use water pistols to defend the train from pirate attacks buzzrail.uk for more information.



Summer of Play at Waddesdon Manor

Free with grounds admission
By the Seaside Week (Wed 5 – Sun 9 August) a pirate adventure performance, and an 18-metre-long sperm whale which you can walk inside!
Fiery Jack Circus (Wed 12 – 16 August) includes an unforgettable performance hosted by a real circus family. Take to the skies for a trapeze session, spinning diabolos and learn the art of juggling.
Storytelling Week (Wed 19 – Sun 23 Aug) – daily storytelling, take part in a writing competition and follow a story trail.
Dinosaur Week (Wed 26 – Mon 31 Aug) – join us for fossil hunting and meet some dinosaurs!
