This year, the break will run for 12 weeks from Monday, 2 December 2024. Collections will restart from Monday, 24 February 2025.
Your final collection will take place on the week of Monday, 18 November or Monday, 25 November, depending on your location and typical collection day.

Central Bedfordshire Council invites residents to register for removal of unwanted garden waste bins
Central Bedfordshire Councilis now taking requests for the removal of unwanted/unused green garden waste bins.
Households that don’t plan to sign up for the garden waste collection subscription next year have until 10 January 2025 to request the removal of their unwanted bin. The bins will be collected across Central Bedfordshire in two phases between 6 and 31 January 2025.
To request the removal of the garden waste bin, please go to www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/unwantedgardenwastebins and complete the online form.
Real Christmas tree recycling service – updated 2nd December 2024
Real Christmas trees will be collected for recycling from Monday 6 to Friday 17 January 2025. Simply place your real Christmas tree next to your recycling bin on your recycling collection day (not in any bin or bag). Please note that no other garden waste will be collected.
Trees should be under six feet tall (183cm), with trunks no larger than three inches in diameter (8cm) and all decorations must be removed.

Do not include other garden waste
Trees should be no taller than 6 feet (1.8m) tall, with trunks no greater than 3 inches (8cm) in diameter
If you have a larger tree or miss the collection, you can also recycle your trees at your local recycling centre.
