Leighton Buzzard Christmas Festival -24th and 26th November
Leighton Buzzard High Street will be the centre of festivities as the Christmas weekend kicks of from 4pm on Friday 24th November. They’ll be a Christmas marketing a programme of local acts, a festive food court and then at 7pm the Christmas lights switch on followed by fireworks.
On Saturday 25th the Leighton Fun Runners will be doing there Santa Dash starting at Parson’s Close Recreation Ground. Expect hundreds of Santas to be running through the streets of Leighton Buzzard. The usual Charter Market will be joined by the Handmade and Craft Market and Sparky the Robot will be there to entertain.
More entertainment follows on Sunday 26th November with singers and walkabout entertainers including Lairy Fairy and the Christmas Puddings. Plenty of hot food and drink will be on hand and the funfair will be adding thrills too.
Aylesbury – Sunday 26th November
Jingle all the way to Aylesbury on Sunday 26 November for Christmas on the Cobbles – the best way to kickstart your festive season!
All things merry and bright will be taking over Aylesbury Town Centre across the day in Market Square, Friars Square Shopping Centre and Kingsbury.
From 1-4.30pm They’ll be games, crafts, activities and performances in Friars Square Shopping Centre including Captain Christmas by Unbound Theatre, face painting by Zoomania, crafts with Queens Park Arts Centre, Lego building, badge making and a visit from ice queens and snow fairies. There’s something to keep everyone entertained – whatever the weather!
The snowball arena returns to Market Square alongside other performances on the Radley Doors and Windows Stage including Miss Claus and a magic show full of surprises. The Aylesbury Lions will be serving the ultimate smell of Christmas – hot roasted chestnuts! Watch out for Hodman and Sally who will be busy doing their Christmas shopping and singing some of your favourite carols!
An epic Illuminated Parade will light up Market Square from 5.30pm. Joined by Aylesbury Waterside Theatre pantomime star Andy Collins, Santa in his sleigh, local community groups and international street theatre performers, the incredible LED drumming group – Spark!
At 6pm the Town Council’s Christmas lights will be switched on in the Market Square, hosted by Bucks Radio, and will be followed by a stunning firework display.
Dunstable – 8th to 10th December
Twilight Market is back for another Christmas filled weekend on The Square and Middle Row on three dates only:
- Friday 8 December 3 pm to 8 pm
- Saturday 9 December 3 pm to 8 pm
- Sunday 10 December 10 am to 3 pm
Join us for our two evening markets on Friday and Saturday between 3pm and 8pm with magical Christmas lights, live music, and free Christmas activities! Then on Sunday from 10am to 3pm
