The Black Cats Head to World Jamboree in 2027 and other good news.

Local Scouting is excited to share the wonderful news that seven young people and a adult leader have been chosen from the district to form a sizeable part of Bedfordshire Scoutings contingent to the 2027 World Jamboree in Gdansk Poland

With seven successful candidates Leighton Linslade will make up 20% of Bedfordshires Unit already nicknamed the “ Black Cats” and they now embark on the personal challenge of raising £3,500 each to facilitate their once in a lifetime experience.

We’re beyond thrilled to congratulate our friends over at Mimic Gifts Escape on being nominated as one of the Top Escape Rooms with the winner to be announced on 20th December. The escape room has been modelled on the Great British Train Robbery and the attention to authentic and imaginative details is second to none. Well deserving of the nomination.

Mimic Escape had only been open 4 months when they were nominated so this is an amazing achievement considering that there are 1100 rooms worldwide that have been nominated, 91 of those from the UK.
