Plants and Garden Events coming soon in and around Leighton Buzzard
As the last frosts leave us it is the perfect time to be on the look out for new plants for depleted beds. Here are a few events coming up you won’t want to miss.
Soulbury Open Gardens Weekend
This year our Open Gardens event will take place on the weekend of 9 and 10 May 2026. As always, the Friends of Soulbury Church is the beneficiary and is a lovely rewarding weekend for gardeners, organisers and visitors.

Hospice of St Francis Plant Sale
In nearby Berkhamsted the Hospice of St Francis is hosting a plant sale on Saturday 16th May from 10am to 2pm at Spring Garden Lane HP4 3GQ for more information visit

Aspley Guise Open Gardens
Sunday 24th May 2026 from 12 until 5pm. Varied gardens around the village will be open. Program includes map and information about individual gardens and refreshments will be available. Proceeds are to go to improving the village hall, where there will be a plant sale. Tickets available on the day from the square in the village centre and the village hall. MK17 8JH
Leighton Linslade In Bloom Plant Sale
This ever popular event supports the work around our town to keep our flower beds and borders looking pristine.

As well as local delights there are the national shows this month for the gardeners calendar. The RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026 will be held from Tuesday 19th May to Saturday 23rd May and the BBC Gardeners’ World Live, 18th to 21st June at Birmingham’s NEC
