Tibbs Dementia Foundation Summer Croquet

Tibbs Dementia Foundation has partnered with Leighton Buzzard Croquet Club to offer a summer programme of croquet sessions for those living with dementia/memory loss and their family members. These monthly sessions aim to improve hand/eye coordination, promote social inclusion, and keep those affected by the condition connected with their community.

The games are being held at the Leighton Buzzard Croquet Club’s lawn in Pages Park. No experience is necessary. Club members will be on hand to help guide the games, and all equipment is provided. A round of croquet will be followed by a drink and a chat in the club house.

Tibbs Dementia Foundation is an award-winning Bedfordshire dementia charity. Founded in 2013 in Bedford, they now offer over 50 regular activity groups across Central Bedfordshire and Bedford Borough. Some of the activities include: walking groups, bowls, music therapy, cognitive stimulation therapy, games groups, and walking football.

Tibbs are the official dementia service provider for Central Beds and Bedford Borough, commissioned by their respective local authorities. Their ethos is to help those affected by dementia, whether that be the person themselves or their family carers, to live as well as possible, for as long as possible with the condition. Their clients are at the heart of everything they do, and they strive to offer a varied programme of different activities, with something for everyone.
