Cue and Arrow celebrate First Year
The Cue & Arrow, Leighton Buzzard’s home of cue sports, darts and live televised sport, is proud to celebrate its one-year anniversary — marking a milestone year of growth, community spirit and unforgettable sporting moments.
Since opening in December 2024, The Cue & Arrow has quickly established itself as a vibrant hub where residents, families and sports fans come together. With high-quality pool tables, professional-grade darts lanes and state-of-the-art screens showing live sport from around the world, the venue has become one of the town’s most popular social spots.
Club Owners Liam and Emma Doherty reflect on their journey so far:
“We’ve had an incredible first year. When we opened the doors, our goal was simple: build a place where people of all ages could enjoy great sport, great company and a real sense of community. The response from Leighton Buzzard has been amazing — from family tournaments to match-day crowds, this venue already feels like home to so many.”
Across the year, The Cue & Arrow has hosted competitive leagues, social events, and achieved ADC darts and Ultimate pool accreditation, making it a welcoming space for seasoned players but also for families and casual visitors too. The venue credits much of its success to the support and enthusiasm of local residents.
Joining in the first anniversary celebrations, Mayor of Leighton Buzzard, David Bligh, praised the club’s contribution to the town: “The Cue & Arrow has added something genuinely special to our community. It’s far more than a sports club — it’s a social space where families, friends and neighbours connect. In just one year it has become a valued part of Leighton Buzzard life, and I look forward to seeing it continue to flourish.”
Looking ahead, the team is already planning exciting additions for 2026. Development includes expanded junior programmes, more family-friendly events, live music and the launch of an annual charity tournament that will raise funds for local youth sports initiatives.
Liam Doherty adds: “This is only the beginning. Our vision is to keep growing with the community — offering even more activities, more events and more opportunities for people to enjoy the sports they love. We’re grateful for every supporter, and we can’t wait for what’s next.”
