Very Simple Ginger Cookie Recipe

120 grams Butter
4 tbsp golden syrup
120 grams Sugar
280 grams flour
3 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda

Warm the butter, syrup and sugar slightly and beat together until creamy. Add the flour, ginger (a teaspoon of cinammon if you like) and bicarbonate of soda and mix to a stiff dough.

Roll out thinly and use cookie cutters or cut into rounds and stamp them with this festive set. Bake in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes at Gas Mark 5 or 190c. Then leave to cool before decorating.
